According to Osha and the CDC, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It has spread from China to many other countries around the world, including the United States. Depending on the severity of COVID-19’s international impacts, outbreak conditions—including those rising to the level of a pandemic—can affect all aspects of daily life, including travel, trade, tourism, food supplies, and financial markets.

The Athlete’s Playground has implemented several safety measures and government mandated protocols to keep all members and clients safe while training in our facility.

Service and Operations

  • The Athlete’s Playground is currently operating at 25% capacity until further notice from the state.

  • To maximize air flow, our 10’ garage doors are open during business hours and we have several fans along with our HVAC moving air inside and outside of the facility.

  • All members are required to wear masks or neck gators while in the facility and while working out. We strongly recommend that members step outside away from other members from time-to-time and breath in some fresh air.

  • It is MANDATORY that all Equipment and machines must be wiped down by members as soon as they are finished using it.

  • We ask that members bring in their own bottles of water instead of using the water fountains. If you forget water, we will have some available. The water bottle filler is still available to fill your bottles up as the system is non-contact. Before touching your water bottle, we ask that you please wash or disinfect your hands.

  • No food is allowed in the gym

  • We are not currently offering classes due to the limitations set by the government mandates. Classes will resume when the class capacities increase.

  • Personal training and small group training are still available and must be scheduled with your strength coach.

  • We ask that clients respect each other and maintain proper social distancing spaces at all times.

  • Group training will be limited to 4 participants and 1 strength coach

  • Parents, family members, and friends not working out are asked to stay out of the facility so we can keep the numbers low for those working out.

  • Temperatures will be taken when you enter the facility. Any temperatures over 100 degrees will not be allowed in the facility.

COVID-19 SYMPTOMS

PLEASE RESPECT OUR FACILITY AND THOSE WORKING OUT. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS OR ARE FEELING SICK, PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO THE FACILITY.

Cleaning and Safety

  • There are sanitation stations setup throughout the gym that have cleaning solution and towels to wipe down equipment and machines. The solution we use is safe and effective against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

  • Hand sanitizer is readily available at every sanitation station as well.

  • Equipment, machines, bathrooms, and lockers are wiped down consistently by staff throughout the day to maintain a clean training environment.

  • Every night the entire facility is disinfected using an electrostatic disinfectant sprayer. The sprayer uses a specialized disinfecting solution that is combined with air and atomized by an electrode inside the sprayer. Subsequently, the spray contains positively charged particles that are able to aggressively adhere to surfaces and objects killing the SARS-CoV-2 virus for up to 24 hours.

  • Staff members and coaches are required to wear mask at all times.

  • Please wash your hands frequently when working out in our facility to minimize the spread of germs and bacteria

Our company protocols and procedures when it comes to fighting against the COVID-19 Pandemic and the spread of germs is constantly changing to comply with new regulations, procedures, and mandates set by the CDC and the state of New Mexico.
